Dear Alexandria and Sydney,
I have saved your letter for last, because while issues abound regarding your brother's use, or misuse of the toilet, THEY are at least, making it in to the bathroom when they potty and thus are at least standing on linoleum. You girls on the other hand, persist on going potty everywhere except the room for which it was intended. Ladies, I am very tired of changing sheets and laundering bedding. I do not wish to Lysol the plastic mattress protector each and every morning nor do I enjoy the grotesque feeling of still warm pee-pee pooling around my toes when I step on the carpet in your bedroom.
Alexandria, you are four years old. My goodness, you are in Pre-K! Such a big girl! Please, please, please go to the bathroom and sit on the potty when you wake up in the morning rather than just letting loose in bed. I know its cozy under the covers and yes, its hard to get up and face the morning. But you must, must, must potty in the toilet. You know its getting to a ridiculous point when you have learned to strip off your wet clothing and leave them in a pile outside your door each morning for me to pick up and wash.
Sydney. Sydney, Sydney, Sydney. I'm not even sure what to say. Your issue doesn't seem to be the lack of ability to make it to the bathroom on time, No, yours seems to be almost a pathology. You seem to quite enjoy wetting your pants, wetting the bed, wetting the bedroom floor, even wetting the bathroom floor. Why, Sydney? Surely, I give you enough attention and time. The other day when you realized you needed to potty you started to head towards the bathroom, but then realizing that you didn't want to miss out on all the action of waiting for Ali's bus on the front porch, you simply shrugged your shoulders and went ahead and pottied in your pants. This is madness Sydney. Sometimes even when you are in the bathroom, you just pee on the floor instead of in the toilet. I can't understand this, but I'm trying. I guess at least you made it to the bathroom...
Please girls, use the bathroom. The toilet in the bathroom to be more specific.
No more wet beds please ladies. Or I fear you will be sleeping in pull-ups through college. I love you.

OMG Debi. A few weeks ago we rented a rug doctor and when we ran it over thier room it lifted the smell and "reactivated" it. Gag!!! We had to do their carpet a couple times to get it out!

Im not sure I have ever commented before but this post I just had to..my problem isnt my girls it's my youngest..a boy.he is 5 and wets the bed EVERY SINGLE NIGHT..I mean EVERY night..he is now in kindy and it hasnt gotten any better so 2 weeks ago I put him in 'drynights'..no more washing sheets (and carpet) everyday for me..his room smells better allready..lol..he will stay in the drynights for a few more weeks and then we will give it another go..allthough his drynight is wet every morning..

this is exactly what I've started doing with the girls just this week! I feel bad putting such big girls in pull ups at night but it sure beats having a wet bed each morning!!!! And I can actually wash CLOTHES now because I'm not constantly washing bedding!
