American Idol Part Two

Drew is home from his American Idol audition. He did not make it through to the next round, but no regrets! He had a great time, he loved the experience and he told me that he met a lot of really wonderful people. Our neighbor, Chasity, also did not make it but both she and Drew are young and have plenty of years left to keep trying!

Albert had a great time doing this with Drew and we both couldn't be prouder of him. I took Drew and his friend Cameron out to dinner tonight, after the little ones were in bed, to celebrate the accomplishment of auditioning for something so huge. While we were eating, we discussed the whole experience and he said that it was totally worth doing and that he can't wait to try again. He says next time he'll be a bit more prepared and will know what to expect a little bit better.

Drew and Albert said they did see some people get a golden ticket into the next round, and some of them were quite good. We wish everyone from the St. Louis auditions who made it through to the next round lots of luck. We'll definitely be watching to see if anyone Drew and Albert met today makes it through to the judges!
