M&M Mini's

Here is a lesson I learned, just last night. I will never, ever again, buy my children those little cylindrical thingies of mini m&m's. Last night each of the little children got their own tube of them- it was sort of a consolation prize for the fact that Daddy had taken all the older brothers and some cousins to the movie theater for the evening.
At first, the littles were thrilled with their mini M&M's. They were delighted opening and closing the little plastic top, pouring them out in their hands, and spillng them across the floor. At the end of the night, I closed the cap on each of their tube's and put them all safely in my diaper bag.
When I woke up this morning and came out to the kitchen- M&M chaos. Isaiah, Alexandria, Sydney and Bree were all up and had rummaged through the diaper bag and retrieved all the tubes of M&M's. Some kids had eaten more than others the previous night and so were upset when they didn't have as many this morning. Some kids solved that little issue by eating some of their sibling's candy. Some just spilled everywhere, and someone shoved a handful into Mia's mouth. I'm still picking them up off the carpet.
Never again. Next time, Daddy takes everyone to the movies. Everyone.
