Parent-Teacher Conference Time...

It's that time of year again- time for parent-teacher conferences. We had four of them yesterday. Emanuel, Brandon, Jackson and Brice. We are still waiting to hear from the high school regarding when we can speak with Drew's teachers.
Of the four older children, we have two very different and very opposite ends of the spectrum.
Emanuel and Jackson both make excellent grades, and test very well. When we got the results of their standardized testing, they both came out very high in the perceniles, in district, state and national averages. They are both self-motiviated and require very little from Albert or I in terms of making sure they've completed their work, or did what they were supposed to do. They are on top of thier game and certainally make it very easy for us!
Drew and Brandon, on the other hand, not so much. These two struggle, for various reasons academically and take a lot of time and attention to making sure that complete their homework, that it is correct, and that it actually gets returne to school the next day. Neither of them test well, and school is constantly a struggle.
This goes to prove that children raised in the same house, in the same environment, can still be very different. So, at conference night, we got lots of new tools and workbooks and websites to help Brandon and lots of praise and congratulations over Manny and Jackson. Kind of weird and very mixed feelings.

Has to be hard on the two to see how easy it is for the other two...
Know that I'm here praying!
Psalm 121:1-4 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
