New Creations

This is our nephew Cameron. He is a really wonderful kid. He initiated this whole process. He inquired about being baptised without being asked, prompted or otherwise lead by any adult. He was moved to ask about knowing Jesus more personally after visiting the Living Christmas Tree. He made this decision and this commitment by himself, which is a pretty impressive thing for an 8 year old. I can't even describe how proud we are of him.

Cameron and his mom, Katie.

This is my sister Katie. I was so proud of her on this day. She's so caring, beautiful, and amazing mom and auntie. I must admit that I cried (and saw that my Dad did too) as I saw Katie go down into the water and come up again, as a new person, a new creation in Christ. Watching someones sins be washed away before your very eyes is quite a powerful thing to witness.

This is my sister Ashley. She is 23 weeks pregnant in these pictures, but you can barely tell. She is absolutely beautiful. I cried when she was baptised as well. Same reason. Rising from the water as a saved individual, knowing that her soul is fully protected and that she'll spend eternity with the Lord is amazing and breathtaking and I felt so privileged to be present at the symbolic sealing of this fact.

This is Ashley's husband, Justin. He splashed the pastor on his way into the baptismal...
I have only known Justin for a few years. But I am so impressed and thrilled with the way he has accepted Abbi (Ashley's daughter from a previous marriage) as his very own, even though Abbi or course, has her own dad. Justin doesn't distinguish his biological children from his step-daughter. He has a very strong and friendly personality and I am excited to see the ways God works in him. I think he could be a very powerful leader for God. And he's a pretty good salesman...LOL!

Continuing to pray in Seattle!
Psalms 27:7-9 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
