Another Sick Baby

Mia is the latest of the Fontenot children to come down with the "mystery virus" that I'm starting to think may well be the flu. Last night her temp was over 103 and she was breathing so darn fast. I know that's normal when a baby has a fever, as is the whole rapid heartbeat thing, but that doesn't make it less worrysome. I spent the night curled up with blankets and pillows on the floor next to her crib so I could be near her. I'm sure you're wondering why not just let her sleep in bed with me, and the answer is...Mia doesn't prefer. She won't sleep anywhere except a crib anymore, so it was get no sleep in bed or get a little bit of sleep on the floor. She did great through the night. She slept until ten o'clock this morning, when we came downstairs together to a kitchen full of children and toddlers eating various fooods for breakfast. Ah, well.
This morning her temp is still 102. We're doing Tylenol....she doesn't take it willingly though...so it's a struggle each time I give it to her.
Hoping she feels better today and that no one else is sick. As of last night, the twins still had low grade fevers and were cranky and crabby. Seriously, that should have been their names last night. Cranky and Crabby. Albert and the older boys have to go back to the old house to continue laying tile. Praying for a better day...espicially for Mia...

Debi,
no you didn't miss anything. When we bought this house in 2005, my father in law purchased our old one from us, so that we could purchase this one that we were building. We then rented out the old one and Albert acts as the "property manager" doing repair work and checking up on it. The old house is between tenants right now and Albert has been busy working on it to prepare it for new renters. He's laying tile and tomorrow it gets carpeted.

Know that I'm always here praying! Adding prayers for Mia, too...
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Hope she feels better soon. Chloe was pretty sick a week ago, and ended up sleeping in bed with her to moniter her breathing, and fever. Both my kids prefer sleeping in their own beds (now, they never used to) and would never willingly sleep in our bed. She also doesn't take tylenol willingly (meaning, she will throw it up if we force it on her) and so, we kind of have to try natural methods to bringing her fever down.

What comforting verses! Praying!
Psalms 23:1-3 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
