We have good news!

We have excellent news to share with everyone! We are pregnant again, and have made it past the first trimester! We are due September 6th. We just had our 13 week appointment last night, where we did our NT scan and saw a beautiful, happy, healthy fetus dancing around, flipping from his back to his tummy (or her!) and snuggling his head into the corner of his amniotic sac.
We were more than a little nervous on the way into the office. After two consecutive miscarriages, I was so afraid of finding a fetus with no heartbeat, or the dreaded empty gestational sac. Instead, we immediately saw a beautiful baby with a flickering heartbeat in it's chest. Almost instantly, baby put his hands up to his face and "waved." Even Albert, who is usually reserved and not overly impressed by things of that nature, excited shouted out "Hey, look! He's waving!" Of course, we don't really know if it's a boy..It could be a she. We'll have to wait to find out!
But for now, we are so thankful that our baby looks good and has a healthy heartbeat (164bpm) and that everything is going wonderfully. It felt incredible to walk out of the office happy, with pictures of a live baby and reason to celebrate. We are so grateful to God for giving us this one more miracle. He is faithful.
