Brice Hates it!

As some of you know, Brice was recently in a phase where everything was "I can't want it". At dinner when he didn't want to finish his food he would tell us "I can't want it"
When it was time to come in after playing outside he would call out "I can't want it"
and certainally when it was time to put away his toys... "I can't want it!"
The phrase "I can't want it" became the standard for anything undesirable, or anything one didn't wish to do or complete.
However, in recent weeks, there has been a severe decline in Brice's favorite phrase and now it seems its been replaced with "I hate it"
On Saturday night when I asked Brice if he was finished with his dinner he told me
"I hate my dinner"
"Well, did you eat your corn?" I asked
"I hate my corn" was the reply.
"Brice, did you eat your salad?"
"I hate my salad."
"Brice, did you eat your susage?"
you can guess it. "I hate my susage."

This morning as I was making eggs for breakfast, he told me "I hate eggs" Okay, so then pick something else. He chose pop-tarts. As he sat at the table to eat his pop tart, I served eggs to the kids that wanted them. I guess LOOKING at the eggs on the plate caused Brice a change of heart because very soon he said "Okay, want eggs." I tried to explain to him that he had already chosen poptarts and thus he needed to finish the poptarts and THEN we could talk about eggs.
Without skipping a beat he looked at me and said "I hate pop tarts!"

So cute, although I know it can get old quick! I have one that hates everything too. She lives on cereal and hot dogs and grilled cheese.

OMGosh! Brice is such a character! Seriously, he could be a character on The Simpsons or something. LOL
He is almost too smart for his own good. ;)
