A busy week...

This week is not a fun one at our house. I have too many tests in the next couple days, Albert has too much work (he is working both jobs all week long) and I have several things that I've neglected and need to schedule appointments for. For example, we havent had a WIC appointment for a while and I really need to schedule one. Yes, I dread it but it must be done. You have no idea how badly I wish I'd held out on trying to nurse just one week longer to see if that would have changed anything. Albert says I'm crazy each time I say that b/c he remembers that I was esentially pumping more blood than milk and even I remember that each time I nursed her it felt like my nipples were being lit on fire and twisted off...and that feeling lasted the entire feeding, not just at first. But I know there must have been something that wasn't right, like positioning or latch on or something. I just wish someone could have shown me what it was.
Anyway, I digress. I also must schedule Sydney for her re-check with the cardiologist so that we can see if her murmur has closed. I have put off doing so basically b/c I know it has indeed not closed yet, as it can still be heard by Dr. Young at Syd's checkups. She did say however, it seemed like it was getting fainter. The re-check is supposed to be scheduled for August so one might be tempted to think I'm still on track. But one would be wrong, because I was supposed to call in May to schedule the August appointment. woops.
Well, unfortunately I can't post long as learning the bones and cracks and crevices of the skull awaits me in the dining room...test today....and tomorrow. Yikes.
kids are all great. Sydney has become a pro (finally) at solids. She sometimes eats two containers at a time. And last Friday she even dined on some pizza crust!

You should find a lactation specialist. There has to be one at the hospital or you could look online. Did you try using a shield last time? My daughter hates them but it helps with the pain. There has to be some way you can do it this time...

Good luck with the test. I am sure you will do fine. WIC appt sucks.

I hope that murmur has closed. If it hasn't than you know I am happy to talk to you about my experience with the whole hole closing process.

You will do great on your tests honey. If anyone can do this, it's you.
