Our Amazing Prayer Bear

I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you all about an amazing person in our lives. Her name is Lynn and she lives far away from us in Seattle. Lynn is a very important person in our lives, particulary in Brandon's life. We got to know Lynn when Brandon was first diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and we set up a caringbridge website. Lynn belongs to a volunteer organziation called "The Prayer Bears" She and several other dedicated ladies pray for children who are sick. The value of Lynn's prayers have been enormous. I don't even know if there are words to describe how uplifting she has been to us. In fact, the best way to help you all understand is to show you...if you aren't too busy and have a couple of minutes, please click on the link to Brandon's aplastic anemia site. I beleive its probably the second one listed on our links section. From there, click on the guest book and have a look....can you believe that Lynn has signed my baby's guestbook almost every single day...for three years. And for the really amazing thing...we've never even met her. She does this out of the kindness of her heart for a child she has never seen before (though we definately hope to meet her one day) And its not just Brandon that she does this for. I'm not sure how many children she prays for but I know its alot.
There have been so many days in the past where news was bad at clinic or things weren't looking up and Lynn's daily bible verse gave me hope, strength and renewed focus on the power of God. Perhaps greatest of all, Lynn's dedication has encouraged and inspired me to spend more time in prayer for others.
Thank you Lynn for the immense impact you have had on our family and on Brandon and on the lives of countless children and families. Thank you for your prayers, dedication, love and commitment.

Lynn is such a wonderful person. I remember you mentioning her a while back and have seen her uplifting comments both eher and on your other pages.
Truly one of God's angels on earth.

Ang,
I am so glad you let everyone know about Lynn and how much she has touched our whole family. Alot of times I'll go back and read your entries on Brandon's website, and Lynn is always there with loving words and bible verses. She had made the hard times more comforting and the good news more uplifting. Thank you Lynn for taking my grandson into your heart and prayers. Everytime I'm with Brandon, I know that God has been listening.

Wow, some people are truly amazing, just to do something from the kindness of their heart. Not because they want thanks or recognition and not because they expect anything in return. Just because they are such loving, caring human beings.

Thank you Lynn for all your wonderful prayers and for caring so much about Brandon.
