Open Letter To My Children Regarding Their Christmas Presents

Dear kids,
As we all know, the holidays are upon us, and your father and I have been doing a significant amount of Christmas shopping lately. As I'm sure you have brilliantly surmised, most of this shopping has been for you. Because there are twelve of us in this house, hiding places good for stashing gifts are not very plentiful. In fact, as we all know, there are really just a couple of places suitable for us to hide your gifts. You may be wondering if there is a point to this most recent rambling, so let me clearly state it now. I would appreciate it, if you would stop rummaging around the present stash, trying to discover what we have gotten you. I find it highly irritating to have to constantly resecure the scotch tape because you have tampered with it, and done a poor job of covering your tracks. Additionally, a few of you are not very discreet and with multiple siblings, word of your misdeed travels fast. Here's the thing...you three that are oldest, are able to make your own choices. If YOU choose to peek at your gifts and spoil the surprise, then that is a choice that YOU must live with. That's your decision and at this age, I'm not overly concerned. You understand your choices and can weigh for yourselves the pros and cons of peeking. But, your younger siblings don't posses that level of maturity yet, and I want very much to preserve the magic of Christmas morning for them. So please, refrain from spoiling it for them.
And one more thing. If you must insist on peeking, please be a bit more clever next time. Some things to think about might include proper re-taping of the tampered-with gift, reclosing of the door you opened when you embarked on your tamper-mission and making sure not to tear the wrapping paper of the peeked-at present.
Thank you very much. I love you.
Mom

I can't even imagine....
The Lord is with you right now, lifting you up, giving you strength! Always praying!
Isaiah 40:28-31 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
