Impatient Couple

Tonight we loaded up the big van and made a family trip to Target. Just because. It was a very nice trip until the very end when we headed to the checkout lane. Why, oh why did the people in line behind us have to be rude and snarky. I was overwhelmed with the struggle to maintain my patience (which really means hold my tongue) as the couple behind us (with two children in their cart) rolled their eyes, shifted their weight from foot to foot and generally acted very annoyed with having to wait their turn. Yes, I know being in line behind our family can be a challenge. We take up three carts, each loaded with kids and each with an older kid pushing, so it can be chaotic. But here's the good news. When we're done, the line will instantly empty out! And voila! It will be "impatient couple's" turn! Just calm down "impatient couple", we are wanting to hurry just as much as you are wanting us to hurry.

On a side note, we pulled through the McDonald's drive thru on the way home for dinner. You know your family is large when you pay the cashier at the first window, and then have time to run to the store before your food order will be ready and you swing back by to pick it up at the second window! Fun times...

yeah, I pretty much hate ordering at the window... not fun at all. I always have to pull forward and wait...

As for the couple...oh boy, I think I know them well. UGH Esp when i take all of the kids without Russ (and Will is always, always crying too...) Most people don't even get in line with us

I miss one night and look what happens! Didn't know what site I was on for a minute!
You know how many carts of kids you have doesn't effect how long it takes for the checker to check you out....
Know that I'm continuing to pray!
John 14:1-3: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

I really hate the typical "impatient couple". I tend to slow down and have fun at their expense...hoping they'll go to another line. Then wave bye as we leave and they are still waiting. And yeah....having to wait for your order at McD's means you have a really big family. I barely have time to put my wallet away before they are shoving drinks and bags in my face.

That side note was about the funniest thing I have heard of in a really long time. You always make my day!!!! :)
