Easter shopping and Emily Griffin

Okay, obscure fact about me...I love to read but almost never can make time for it. Tonya, this was actually one of the things that prompted me to write my infamous post asking about your schedule. I was in awe of your ability to squeeze reading time in amongst everything else.
Anyhow, I went out for a little shopping trip last night by MYSELF!!!!! You read correctly...no kids, no babies, no husband. NOT EVEN SYDNEY. I put the four babies to bed...Albert was sleeping and Emanuel was spending the night across the street with our neighbors son. That left Drew, Brandon and Jackson watching TV downstairs. We hadn't done our Easter shopping yet and when I woke Albert to come with me, he said he didn't feel up to shopping and asked if I felt okay going alone...seriously, you don't have to ask me twice!
So, I made my way through the dollar store, Target and Walmart. At the Dollar store. At the Dollar Store I found a little baby basket for Sydney, some candy and some cute little things for the kids' baskets...Easter pencils for school, bubbles, coloring books and markers for Jackson and Brice, a pre-school workbook and a couple of board books for the twins, a stuffed bunny for Sydney...and a few other odds and ends. At Walmart I found the majority of the candy I bought and a few little games for the older kids...just things like dice games, chineese checkers, Rook and a couple of other card games that can be played as a family. At Target I found a soduku puzzle book for Emanuel and a couple for Albert (as they are both addicted) and then while I was at it, I decided to splurge on a good fiction novel for myself. This is something I almost never do as 1) I don't want to spend the extra money and 2) When would I have time to read it anyhow??? But as I strolled the aisles, I came across a novel called "Something Blue" by Emily Griffin. I was instansly thrilled! I had checked out a novel by Emily Griffin from the library last summer called "Something Borrowed" I had absolutely loved it, reading through the whole thing in a weekend. Now this was the sequel!!!!! I was so delighted (its the little things...ya know?) that I bought it and came home and hopped in bed and settled in for a read. I read, and read and read and read and got up to feed Syd and then read some more....and when I finally was ready to put it down...I glanced outside my bedroom window and to my shock....it was getting light outside! OMG I had read all through the night! I then slept a couple hours and had to wake up with the twins and Sydney and of course wanted to kick myself! Lucky for me, Drew woke up and volunteered...well, okay, maybe "agreed" is a better word, to take the twins downstairs and feed them....while I tucked Syd in bed with me and read some more! I had the whole book finished by early afternoon....less than 18 hours after buying it. Anyhow, I highly reccommend both books. I haven't read anything else by Emily Griffin but I think I'll give her other books a try. I would really recommend reading "Something Borrowed" first as then "Something Blue" would make hte most sense. Tonya, I remember when you had asked if anyone had any suggestions regarding good novels and I must say I completely enjoyed these two and really recommend them!
