Santa and Suckers

Today, we took our children to the town parade. We decided to go very last minute. As in we decided to get kids dressed and out the door at 11:30 and the parade began at noon. We pulled it off, and managed to snag the PERFECT location at the very tail end of the parade. It was super cold outside, but the bonus, besides watching the excited faces of our little ones when Santa and Mrs. Claus came rolling down the street, was that because we were the very last parade watchers on the street, we got tons of candy. And by that, I mean that in addition to the handfuls being thrown, as parade participants attempted to unload the remainder of their loot as things finished up, someone handed the kids an entire five pound bag of suckers. Seriously. And I know just what I'm going to do with them. They have just become the reward item, for little ones who do not pee their bed at night or during naps. This is not a bribe, it's an incentive. Um, yeah. An incentive.
In the mad dash out the door, I didn't have enough time or arms to grab my camera, but I did snap this pic of Bree after the parade, once we were back home. I love her little dress and wanted to share it with you...just ignore the stain she's already managed to get on it....with the help of her sucker. The one from the five pound bag.

Incentive! Yeah, that's what it is...really!
Continuing to lift up your family in prayer!
Psalms 5:1-3 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Hey! I saw Santa today! He was in a boat on Lake Washington. I was walking in the park and heard yelling...his elf (who was driving the boat) was yelling Merry Christmas. Honest! I truly saw them!
Know that you're in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 91:1-2 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
