Sleepless in Mascoutah...

Seriously, I need some sleep. Bree has had a really rough night for the past two nights in a row. Basically, she refuses to go to sleep. She wakes up to nurse but will only eat for a few moments and only on one side. She then tosses and turns (well, she doesn't really turn, more so just tossing) until she finally drifts off to sleep...on me and about 45 minutes or an hour later, she wakes up and the process repeats itself. Last night this went on and on and on until Albert's alarm clock went off at 5:30. Now, mind you Albert's "alarm clock" is a pre-recorded voice memo featuring Brandon's voice shouting "Wake Up!" multiple times. When Albert went to shower he forgot to disarm the "alarm" so just as I got Kambree settled back to sleep on my chest, we were both treated to the sound of Brandon screaming "Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up...It's time for work, wake up" over and over and over. Such a fabulous start to our morning. Not sure what is up with Kambree's refusal to take a decently long sleep strech. If she's one of those kids who's bodies don't require much sleep then she was DEFINATELY born into the WRONG family...When I try to lay her down, she wakes up instantly...and cries...and cries...and cries until I pick her up and repeat the nursing, patting, praying cycle. I have tried laying her on her back and on her tummy. Either way...no dice. She will ONLY sleep on me. I am not comfortable like this...and apparently she is only comfortable for small increments of time. Something must change. I cannot function like this. Now you might be tempted to think that she has her days and nights backwards...but you would be incorrect. This cycle continues througout the day as well, leaving me with sore breasts, a half vacuumed floor, and several attention deprived toddlers.
Oh, praying for a better night tonight. Gotta run...she is awake...and looking for food...
