Thirty three weeks and counting. No, not really counting. I am content where we are. I feel fine, I'm not overly uncomfortable and I have gained zero weight for this pregnancy. And that is totally fine since I started off so far overweight. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes this time (for the first time ever) so the low carb diet has probably contributed to the zero weight gain. Well, that and the ridiculous heat outside. Speaking of the heat, I feel like a hermit this summer. It's just so hot out there, and we don't have air conditioning in our 15 passenger van, so we tend to stick close to home. The kids would be miserable...if it weren't so hot, but as it is, they don't particularly want to get out and about either. Lots of movies, filling up our plastic pools out side (but even that doesn't last long) and lots of reading. I must confess to being one of "those moms"...you know, the ones who are already eager for school to start again. I know, I know, I couldn't wait for it to end becuase I was fed up with spelling lists, early mornings and too much homework. But now that has been replaced with yelling at teenagers to get out of bed at noon, constantly having the kitchen raided because someone is hungry...again and dealing with more than the average amount of chaos for the house.I'm so sick of kids arguing with each other, I could scream sometimes. Yesterday at breakfast, when Alexandria got the drinking cup that Isaiah was hoping for he quietly muttered under his breath "You suck, Ali." Only I guess he didn't really mutter it too far under his breath because I heard him and he had to leave the table. Later that morning, as Alexandria remarked how pretty she thought she looked, Isaiah informed her that she in fact, looked ugly. Oh boy. The twins start kindergarten this year, which is tough to even wrap my head around. Sydney got a spot in the pre-K program and Bree is on the waiting list. Potentially, I could have a couple weeks with only Mia at home full time. That is another thing I can barely contemplate. At the very least, I'll have half of my days with just Mia and Bree...until Sept 1st rolls around and then we'll have our new little one with us as well. He still has no name. We are narrowing our list, but as of now...no name. It's almost my favorite part of pregnancy- getting to do all the fun shopping that we need to get finished with before our little boy makes his appearance. This is that last time I get to do this, so the excited part of me wants to really have fun with it but the frugal part of me hates to spend money on things that will only be used for one baby. So I'm practicing moderation and sensibility- two traits that aren't always so natural to me! We have most major purchases saved from our other babies so we don't have anything large to buy- just mostly fun stuff...clothing, diaper bags, bath stuff, you get the idea. Ever since I fell in love with the art of garage saling- our baby will be outfitted super cute for pennies on the dollar. Who ever in our friends and family has a summer/early fall baby after us will be very well prepared after we pass all this stuff down! In other trivial bits of news, Mia is obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba. She watches the same four episodes On Demand through Charter as often as we'll let her. She knows all the little robots names and all the songs. It's super cute and a bit annoying- she can get very distressed if we tell her she can't watch an episode right now. She is currently cuddled up in my bed between us watching the "Bugs" episode. Jack and Manny are both having friends spend the night so the littles are having a sleep over with Mommy and Daddy in our room so they might actually sleep! So far not so much though. Hopefully they'll drift off soon. I can't take much more Yo Gabba Gabba.

None of my grands even know what Yo Gabba Gabba is and I'm definitely going to keep it that way! Watched about 5 minutes of one show and that's all I could handle. I have a dear friend who's in love with Brobee and has tons of Brobee stuff...
Praying so very hard!
Psalms 142:1-3a I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path.

Continuing to lift up prayers!
Psalms 55:16-18, 22 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me. (22) Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Lifting up prayers right now!
Psalms 116:1-5 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

I know I use this passage often but the words are some of the most comforting in all of Scripture:
Job 19:25-27 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Hi, you don't know me, but I know tons about you through your blog. In fact, that is why I am emailing you today. I was wondering if you please follow my new blog: www.http://themanykingstons.blogspot.com/? It's about my life as a mom to a large family (nine kids under ten!), my faith, and about my family. Thanks so much!

Stopping by to let you know I'm praying!
Psalms 25:1-2a. 4-5 Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee...Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Know that you're in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 61:1-4 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

The Lord is with you, whatever happens. Praying!
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Know that I'm still here praying!
Psalms 40:1-4a I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust...

Oh what comforting words! Praying!
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Psalms 118:4-6 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever. I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Psalms 118:14-16 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

Love this psalm...praying!
Psalms 91:1-2, 4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Psalms 91:9-12 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Praying in Seattle!
Psalms 91:14-15 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

Psalms 57:1-2 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

I'm really feeling this hymn tonight and wanted to share the whole thing with you. Praying hard!

1. I'm but a stranger here,
Heav'n is my home;
Earth is a desert dread,
Heav'n is my home.
Danger and sorrow stand
Round me on every hand;
Heav'n is my fatherland,
Heav'n is my home.

2. What though the tempest rage,
Heav'n is my home;
Short is my pilgrimage,
Heav'n is my home;
And time's wild wintry blast
Soon shall be overpast;
I shall reach home at last,
Heav'n is my home.

3. There at my Savior's side
Heav'n is my home;
I shall be glorified,
Heav'n is my home;
There are the good and blest,
Those I love most and best;
And there I, too, shall rest,
Heav'n is my home.

4. Therefore I murmur not,
Heav'n is my home;
Whate'er my earthly lot,
Heav'n is my home;
And I shall surely stand
There at my Lord's right hand.
Heav'n is my fatherland,
Heav'n is my home.

I saw an eagle while I was out walking today so had to share this passage. Praying!
Isaiah 40:28-31 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

What comfort these words give! Praying in Seattle!
Psalms 23:1-6 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

We have an anchor in every storm! Praying!
Hebrews 6:17-20 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

So many times it can seem like nobody understands...Jesus understands! Praying!
Hebrews 2:9-10 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
